Accounts and syncing between browsers

Parolina works with no account at all. Signing in does one thing: it makes the same vocabulary available in your other browsers, and in the web app on your phone.

Signing in

Open Settings and use either a one-time code sent to your email, or Google. There is no password to invent or lose.

Cloud sync is free for everyone. It is not a Pro feature and it is not planned to become one — sync is what makes an account worth having, not what you pay for.

What syncs, and when

Your dictionaries, your words and your review progress, checked roughly every couple of minutes in the background while you are signed in. A word saved on your laptop is due on your phone.

Some settings are deliberately device-local and do not travel — the ones about how this browser behaves, like whether the instant popup is on. A preference for one machine is not a preference for all of them.

The web app

app.parolina.app is the same vocabulary without the extension, which is how you practise on a phone — neither Chrome nor Edge can install extensions there. Reviews you do in it count towards the same schedule.
